Ben began his career in Human Resources at Mayo Medical Center approximately 15 years ago. During this time, Ben functioned as a human resources generalist supporting Mayo’s Nursing Department. His primary focus was on nurse recruitment, using what was then a new concept known as behavioral and competency based interviewing to successfully hire hundreds of nurses in one year. Over the years, Ben has worked as a human resources consultant and manager in the public and private sectors, to include several fortune 100 companies. He is most noted for developing leading edge recruiting and sourcing strategies, and recruiting execution for fast-paced, growth and emerging organizations.

Ben most recently worked for Honeywell’s Automation and Control Solutions division as the Staffing Leader. Prior to Honeywell, Ben successfully completed an assignment with the Transportation Security Administration/NCS Pearson, a major Federal Homeland Security recruiting initiative. Ben has held human resources leadership positions with Best Buy Inc., where he developed leading edge recruiting and retention strategies for the Information Technology department, and Norwest Services Inc., (currently Wells Fargo), and the University of Minnesota, Facilities Management, again supporting Information Technology.

A graduate of Tougaloo College in Jackson, Mississippi, Ben also earned a masters degree from the University of Kansas in Lawrence, Kansas. Ben is affiliated with the Society for Human Resources Management. He is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity.
